Bobby Love is Nat Wolff's arch rival in the "Battle of the Bands" movie. They battle both for music and for Rosalina's heart. Bobby is a faux British rocker who is really a surfer dude from San Diego. He puts on this British act for his fans! I had a great time playing Bobby Love. I LOVE playing the bad boy!!!! The transition from the British accent to the Surfer Dude lingo made the role more challenging and I liked that. It really was not hard to get the accent down; I've been doing different accents for most of my life. This is how my brother and I communicate a lot.
I went in to read for the part at Nickelodeon in New York. Then they called me to come back with my band. The next audition was to meet with the Directors and Producers, and then I booked it. The music that I played was Sex Pistol kind of punk rock. It is not my style, but I still loved doing it.
We laughed a lot on this set. When I shot this one scene with Allie DiMeco, her character Rosalina was starting to realize that Bobby Love wasn't the guy she thought he was. I had this one line that made her start to laugh every time I delivered it. It was really funny and they had to do a lot of takes.
This cast is one of a kind.. so unique and funny. It's great, those little guys were always up to something! HA!
About The Naked Brothers Band
Although the show does feature real brothers who are in a real band, they are not really naked. "The Naked Brothers Band" follows the life of a kids' rock band led by Nat and Alex Wolff. Allie DiMeco, David Levi, Thomas Batuello and Michael Wolff also star; Keli Price plays Nat's rival, faux-British rocker Bobby.
The series is one Nickelodeon's highest rated programs.
